Challenge

The crisis of the COVID-19 has highlighted the need to analyze the organizational and public health procurement models to optimize the current model and achieve a more innovative, efficient, and sustainable one, which meets the needs of institutions, professionals, and patients.

Solution

For this reason, we wanted to carry out a value project around public health procurement.

Given the difficulty of putting together a physical event, we developed with the Foundation of the University of Alcalá a 100% digital initiative combining digital tools with virtual meetings, whose content focused on the BVP (Best Value Procurement), acquisition system taking into account, among other factors: the health records, patient experience, new technologies, sustainability, social and economic impact and the impact on the healthcare system with the safety, access, and patient care flow, or the positive repercussion on the total cost of treatment.

The three webinars had hosted by Pedro Novas, Health´s sector expert and consultant. We also have great speakers of diverse profiles, such as hospital managers, purchasing managers, or service or pharmacy providers, among others. The connections were around the Value Proposition in health purchasing, Best Value Procurement in Healthcare Organizations, and Innovation in Public Health Procurement of Drugs and Health Technologies.

Clover was in charge of collaborating in the strategic approach, the total project management, the scientific support, the creative, design, multimedia development, and the PR release.

Results

The project allowed more than 100 hospital pharmacists and health managers the keys to bringing the National Health System the best quality care and therapeutic innovation, maintaining financial sustainability.
